It’s kind of like Kim Kardashian living next door to you; everyone is talking about it and everyone wants to catch a glimpse of her. On Thursday 24 March, our world-famous neighbors Keukenhof finally opened their gates after two years of lockdown. The region is buzzing and filled with bright colours, floral scents and full of people who feel like seeing its beauty. This is the place to be for the next 8 weeks!
LAM artists visit Keukenhof
To celebrate the opening of our neighbors across the street, we treated all artists who are now featured in the LAM museum to tickets for Keukenhof. Jan Henderikse, a famous Dutch artist who has lived in New York for years, said that he would have loved to experience the LAM museum and Keukenhof if he lived a little closer. You will soon see other artists from the LAM collection among the tulips. Or just in the LAM of course.
Our friendly Viewing Coaches and other colleagues also received the Keukenhof flower experience as a gift.
Do you want to go too? The spring park is open until May 15, 2022 at the latest. Here you can order tickets for Keukenhof.
Combine Keukenhof with the LAM museum
Super handy and above all great fun: the LAM museum and Keukenhof spring park live across the street from each other. You can easily combine the attractions. Just like at Keukenhof, you need a ticket with a start time for the LAM museum; this way you can be sure that you will receive the attention and space you deserve in the museum.
Even more flowers at and around the LAM museum
The LAM is surrounded by fantastic flower bulb fields, but has nothing to do with flowers itself. All contemporary works of art that are about or hint at food, drinks or consumption. Nevertheless, we will soon be bringing the flowers into our museum, together with artist Benjamin Li, and completely in style. Come and encourage us and Benjamin Li in making a floral mosaic or admire the flower artwork between April 16 and 19.
Have fun among the tulips!
