Surroundings

The LAM building is located on the atmospheric Keukenhof Estate, just over the road from the world-famous spring garden. At the museum, we encourage you to take a really good look at a few things and save the rest for another day. You will discover more that way and have enough time and energy left over to explore all the great things in the surrounding area.

Combine your museum experience with a walk through the estate, a visit to the children’s farm, a long bike ride or a visit to Lisse’s bustling town centre.

Getting there and parking

The Keukenhof Estate, where the LAM is located, offers free parking. The LAM is easily accessible by car, though somewhat more difficult to reach by public transport. Bear in mind that the roads are busier during the annual spring flower exhibition.

How does a visit to the LAM work?

The LAM is for all curious people, particularly children (aged around seven and above) and their families. The best way to experience the LAM is by combining a short visit to the museum with a fun activity in the surrounding area.

On arrival, we’ll invite you to join our Wi-Fi network. You will go on a personal tour using your mobile phone, taking in a selection of artworks. That might sound passive, but it is not. The tour will offer you various tools for taking on different perspectives, starting points for discovery. What your visit to the museum will be like is entirely in your own hands.
